Salcon won a top Asian award for its CSR communication at the 2019 Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards. Salcon walked away with the Bronze Award for Asia’s Best Sustainability Report (SME) award at an award ceremony which was hosted online due to the COVID-19 outbreak on 29 Apr 2020.
Ms. Chern Meng Gaik, General Manager – Corporate of Salcon Berhad received the award on behalf of Salcon Berhad. The awards were presented by Amita Chaudhury, Senior Advisor, Sustainability Learning for Business, UN Global Compact (Secondment from Unilever) and ASRA Judge . The event was graced by the appearance of the Guest of Honour, HE Mr Niclas Kvarnström, Swedish Ambassador, Singapore.
Salcon Berhad was awarded the “Asia’s Best Sustainability Report (SME)” at the 2018 Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) by CSRWork International Pte Ltd in Singapore on 6 March 2019.
Salcon is also the finalist for the category of “Asia’s Best Workplace Reporting”. The winning report demonstrates the company’s leadership in sustainability reporting and a deep sense of commitment to transparency, disclosure and value creation.
Salcon Berhad was awarded the CSR Malaysia Awards 2018 – Company of the Year in the Construction & Engineering Category by the CSR Malaysia for championing employee wellbeing and work-life balance through employee self-improvement and development.
The prize giving ceremony was launched by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah, Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Women, Family and Community Development on 19th July 2018.
Tan Sri Dato’ Tee Tiam Lee, the Deputy Executive Chairman of Salcon Berhad received the award from Dato’ Rajendran, CEO of CSR Malaysia witnessed by Mr. Lee Seng Chee, Managing Editor of CSR Malaysia.
Salcon was awarded the ‘Best Sustainability Reporting Award’ by Focus Malaysia Best Under Billion Awards (BUBA) 2017 on 13th October 2017.
The company was recognised for its initiative to provide stakeholders a holistic and comprehensive report on corporate governance, environment, workplace and the marketplace.
KPMG Management & Risk Consulting worked with Focus Malaysia to filter the winners, and the final decision was validated in consultation with the firm.
The event was graced by Datuk Tajuddin Atan, CEO of Bursa Malaysia to acknowledge the achievements in Malaysia listed companies’ business and sustainability performance.
Salcon Berhad has won Asia’s Best CSR Communication within Annual Report Award at the 2017 Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) by CSRWork International Pte Ltd for the second consecutive year.
The winning of the award reflects Salcon’s effective communication through our CSR initiatives to create more values for business and stakeholders through our CSR initiatives.
Salcon is also the finalist for the category of Asia’s Best Sustainability Report (SME). The awards presentation ceremony was hosted by the British High Commissioner in Singapore H.E. Mr. Scott Wightman on 6th Feb 2018.
