Salcon secures 2 wastewater contracts worth RM99.8 million

SUBANG JAYA, 17 MARCH 2025 Salcon Berhad (“Salcon” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that Envitech Sdn Bhd, a 60%-owned subsidiary of Salcon Engineering Berhad (“SEB”), which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Salcon, has accepted two Letters of Award for wastewater infrastructure projects with a total value of RM99.8 million.

The first contract, value at RM88.8 million, was awarded by Perbadanan Pembangunan Pulau Pinang for the upgrading of sewers and related works at Batu Kawan Industrial Park, Penang. The scope of works includes design, construction, maintenance and handover of the upgraded infrastructure, with an expected completion timeframe of 18 months.

The second contract, valued at RM11 million, was awarded by Binastra Builders Sdn Bhd under a public-private partnership arrangement for the redevelopment of a sewage treatment plant site at Taman Bukit Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. The project is expected to be completed within 36 months.

Both contracts are expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Salcon Group for the financial years ending 31 December 2025 and beyond.
